Get involved with the PTO

Our PTO’s mission:

To enhance the educational experience of every student at North Star Elementary by fostering a strong partnership between families, educators, and the community. We strive to support and empower our students through active parent involvement, volunteerism, and fundraising efforts that enrich the school environment and promote a love of learning. Together, we aim to create a welcoming and inclusive community where every child can thrive.

Getting involved:

There are countless ways to join in and make a difference with our PTO! Whether it's writing thank-you notes to our generous donors, taking a shift as a cashier at the Book Fair, leading a committee, organizing an event like Teacher Appreciation Week, assisting with fundraisers like Reach for the Stars or the Read-a-thon, or committing to a 2-year board position—we have opportunities to suit every interest and schedule.

If you are interested in volunteering, we’d love for you to take a quick minute to fill out our VOLUNTEER INTEREST FORM This helps us learn more about your interests so we can match you with the perfect volunteer opportunity.

Learn more:

If you would like to learn more you can attend one of our monthly PTO meetings, our first one is September 17, 2024, at 6 p.m. in the North Star Library. After this meeting, PTO meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month and are open to everyone.

Thank you for being the magic behind our school’s success!

Many hands make light work,

PTO Board
